" Colliding With Culture"I am proactively looking for ways to intersect with culture.
How? By diving into human truths and forging genuine connections with others - every unique story told, fuels the work I do. About myself.Hi, My name is Brandon Chau! Born in Canada with Chinese and Vietnamese roots, I bring a unique cultural lens to the industry. After completing my BA in Media at Western University, I cultivated handy research skills. While this foundation was strong, I sought a clearer path to apply these abilities meaningfully. My role as a Community Coordinator at the Markham Arts Council was a pivotal moment: I honed the art of relationship building rooted in empathy. I got to act as a bridge between diverse stakeholders, including artists, local businesses, and community members.
This ultimately led me to Humber’s Account Management program and the chaotic world of advertising. With the help of amazing mentors, I elevated my skills further. Working on campaigns for live clients (Harry Rosen, Toronto Police) has allowed me to transform qualitative insights into actionable strategies, and manage creative processes under tight deadlines. Now I hope to bring these skills to an agency environment, where I can work on campaigns that resonate in an algorithm-driven world—work that propels human culture forward. |
