The Program
Humber’s Advertising - Account Management (AAM) program provides developing professionals with extensive knowledge about the world of creative advertising, strategic brand planning, project management, channel planning, client-agency relationships, and creative brief development. The AAM (8 month plus internship program) provides an in-depth understanding of integrated marketing communications and its relationship to other aspects of the business by incorporating collaboration and critical thinking skills to help students acquire the essential knowledge required to contribute to the fast-paced, world of creative advertising.
Led by industry experts, this writing-intensive program prepares aspiring account managers for the advertising industry by exploring a balance of skills from the advertising and creative side of the communication process. AAM graduates have the skills to work directly with clients or as part of an agency team in the corporate sector or in-house with for-profit, non-profit, or government marketing communications departments.
Graduates excel in three key areas - client relationships, creativity, and process management.
AAM teaches students to solve specific advertising and marketing communications challenges by providing strategic insights into consumer behaviour. This program explores the link between successful creative and client success criteria, including return on investment (ROI) and revenue goals, and how to develop briefs that inspire grounded, practical and compelling work.
